"The "Readers for Life" Literacy Autographing has become one of the most popular events at RWA's annual conference. More than 500 romance authors participate in this two-hour autographing event, and each year we raise thousands of dollars, which are donated to ProLiteracy Worldwide. Since 1991, RWA has donated more than $600,000 to literacy charities.

  1. This is getting embarrassing. Am I the only one up early to appreciate this fine day? It's almost 7. I thought I'd wait awhile before going online!

I even went down a bunny trail to the "how exciting!" Austen challenge blog that Tina has set up.

I love to see what the Seekers have in store for the week. Again, a great week coming up.

  2. 'Mornin', Deb!

I'm up too, heading down to the Southern Tier for a research day with my niece/goddaughter/buddy Mandy.

Gonna' check out the thunderstorms (!!!!) the flora, fauna, and umm, we might just see the occasional reallllllly sweet looking mountain man/farmer/rancher/shop-keeper in our travels.

Not that we'll be looking, of course!!!

    Hey, KID...

    Um, Hello?????

Jeepers Creepers girlfriend, what's a gal to do?

Okay, coffee's on, the dogs are barking to wake the dead (my neighbors aren't right on top of me, but close enough that barking dogs at 7:20 on Saturday aren't always appreciated...

But I'm on my way south, so Dave will deal with all that!

Good morning, Seekerville and gallivanting Seekers!!! You go, girls!

  3. I get so sleep in one day a week. So it is now 6:30 am and I have officially slept in. HA!!

    Good morning, Debra.

    Mocha Java brewing...

  4. Yay, Mary! Yay, Mary! Yay, Mary!!!!!
Win one for the Seekers! :-)

Thanks for keeping us informed, Tina! And I am officially Jane Austen's #1 Fan! It says so on my Reviewer I.D.

  5. Melly,

Thanks for letting me wake you up. Yes, someone informed me you were an Austen Fan to the max. I think it was Mary, Mary.

  6. Crossing my fingers for Mary!

  7. Okay, okay, so I slept in!! I work at home, but Saturday is the ONLY day I let myself sleep in ... that is, until I got slathered by a golden retriever tongue ...

Great weekend edition, Tina, chock full as usual!

And I'm with everyone else ... GO, MARY!!!

  8. Geez, I was so groggy I wrote

    so sleep in...

    I meant

    to sleep in

Okay time to go get my naturally brown hair enhanced...see ya later.

  9. Good morning, y'all! Been busy in the kitchen this morning -- cookout tonight and potluck at church tomorrow. There might still be some blueberry muffins the kids didn't gulp down for those of you in later time zones. Butterscotch brownies are cooling and I made extras to share with Seeker friends for lunchtime. Yum, yum!

And, Tina, as the first Georgia girl to check in this morning, I've gotta break the news to you --they're the Atlanta Braves these days instead of the Atlanta Brewers. :-) Not that I could tell you muchy that's going on with them these days other than trading Francoeur, but hubby and son sure could ...

Mary, we're rooting for you tonight!!!

  10. Oh my gosh Leigh. I cannot believe I did that. Talk about a Freudian aging myself slip.

I long for a Butterscotch Brownie!!

  11. Okay, I think Mary is in Denver now. I received a soul searching text message from her. She often bares her soul to me and shares her fears, her joys and her deepest inner most concerns.

    Basically the message said:

  12. What a time all of you will have. Would love to be a fly on the wall? LOL

Have a great one and a safe one.

  13. Jane Austen is awesome. Btw, anyone else watching the liveblog for the Christy Awards. Go Mary, Go!

Yes and if you missed it, it will be archived at the same link. I am putting the link on the Weekend Edition right now.
