  1. Wow, I'm actualy first this morning! I'm honored!

Tina, I'm doing NaNoWri, though I'm wondering how much I'm going to get down. I've spent the last week editing and can see at least another week before I finish. Got some thoughts in my head about this next manuscript but I haven't had time to plot so I'll be winging it.

And thanks for the popcorn! My DH is taking me to see 'Amelia' tonight and I can sneak it in my purse.

  2. Great way to kick off Halloween and to get the weekend hoppin', Tina, or 'poppin', I guess you could say. I actually never eat popcorn although I love it, but I may start after this blog ... :)

Hazelnut coffee is on and I picked up a cinnamon apple kringle because my husband brought one home this week and ruined my taste for my usual peach oatmeal. Kringles are decadent and deadly to my diet, but OH, soooo good!

Happy Saturday, all! And, YES!! The rain has stopped in St. Louis after more than a foot this month!

  3. Tina,

Popcorn is my favorite snack...anytime not just when I'm writing. I'll definately try your recipe when the popcorn balls we made last week are gone!

Sounds like an exciting line up for November.

  4. Hi Tina:

I just read this headline on Drudge: “Biggest October Snow in Denver in 12 Years”. I bet your ready for Nano. I’ll look for you there.
My name is VincePlato. Keep warm.

  5. Tina, great weekend edition like usual!!!

Thanks so much for this and the popcorn balls look amazing. I can't wait to try them.

I married a popcorn-aholic. The good thing is he's safe to drive with...

And he works it off which is SO UNFAIR....

But the man can eat a huge silver mixing bowl, restaurant size, of popcorn in one sitting. With butter. And salt. And he's still alive.

So we buy the 50 lb. bags at Sam's...

and eat them. It's truly sick.

Looking forward to NaNoWri, just registered, have never done this.

But anything that thrusts writers into a forward mode is good by me.

  6. Woohoo for NaNo! Of course, I feel that way because it isn't Nov. yet.

I went to my local Kick Off Party last night and met some new authors and reconnected with friends from last year.

    Good times!

You can find me on NaNoWriMo as ericavetsch I know, stunning originality. :)

  7. Wow a kick off party and everything.

Okay I admit I am not doing any NaNo socializing. Just the facts ma'am. Only writing.

Yeah, Vince, it's been a fun week. Amazing how much prayer you can get in as you are white knuckling it to work on a back road at 6 am.

Remember not to compare yourself to anyone else as you set forth on NaNo. Anything you accomplish is more than you would have accomplished if you didn't sign up. Right? I mean WRITE?

  8. Hey Tina!
    REally nice edition : )

It sounds like some really awesome things/guests are coming up! I'll be sure to check in(obviously! It's not often you don't see me here *Wink*)

  9. YUM! Thanks for the recipe!

My daughter, Grace, won the 12U volleyball championship!!!

Well, her TEAM, the Purple Pandas, won the championship, but same thing. Her dad was the coach. It was the most nerve-wracking hour of my life. I was limp as a dishrag afterward, shaking like a leaf during, and my heart was pounding like a (insert cliche here).

Yay, yay, yay! Feel free to join in.

  10. Hey Hannah, long time no see. NOT!

Melly!! Wow congratulations to your family for this cool accomplishment. Okay so like I lettered in Volleyball in high school. Now I would require CPR if I tried.

  11. Lol Tina! I know...right?!

Melanie, congrats!! That is soooo cool! : )

We're down to 6 rehearsals left until opening night for the musical! Eeeeeekkk! That's WAY too soon : S Wish you guys could ALL come and see it *wink* My sis and I have to be a donkey! Yes...a donkey, like in a donkey suit! Bet you're sad you're missing it NOW, aren't you!? : P
    Thanks and hugs!

  12. Another fabulous weekend edition Tina!

Congrats to your daughter, Melanie~! -- and so glad YOU survived it!

Hannah - now that sounds like a can't-miss production! What's the name of it again?

  13. Great weekend edition Tina.

    Love popcorn.

Melanie, hooray for your daughter and you. smile

    Hannah, the performances sound great.

    Happy writing NaNo's

  14. Sounds like another fun and exciting week in Seekerville! Can't wait!

    xoxo~ Renee

  15. How fun!! Now I have to go pop my own bag. I only do the microwave kind nowadays. Used to do an air popper with real melted butter. Yum!

Melanie, congrats on the win!! And yes, it was also your win. :)

  16. Thanks Glynna and Sandra : )

We're doing Kiss Me Kate. It's totally crazy to be doing a play within a musical! Lol! A lil confusing in the beginning...

  17. Hannah, good luck!! I know you'll do great.

  18. Yes! I am definately participating in the NaNoWriMo. This is my second year and I plan to win this year.

  19. I'm doing NaNo, too. My username there is "mahereenie". Good luck to all you WriMo's. Go get that purple ribbon!

  20. Thanks Missy! I'll let you all know how it goes....
