There's coffee galore ready and waiting for everyone!

Congratulations to all winners.

Looks like a great lineup for next week.

Keli Gwyn said...

Oh, no! I'm the first to leave a comment? Yikes! This presents a challenge because I don't drink coffee AND I'm a lousy cook. So, please, won't someone take pity on me and offer some delectable cyber fare? Pretty please?

Do I hear Ruthy laughing? Or did she keel over when I admitted publicly that I'm don't care for coffee? I know it's probably un-American. Or maybe I'm just an odd duck. Yeah. That's it. =)

I looked for Tina and Audra's debut novels at Walmart today, but the December Steeple Hill books are still on the shelves. However, when I stopped at the grocery store, I snagged the latest issue of Woman's World with Tina's story in it. Now to have my Calgon experience and enjoy some good reading. Ah!

Ausjenny said...

Merry Christmas to all also and congrats to all winners and Yes Tina I would love to win yours or Audra's book and I did see them at Christianbook.

I have some christmas cookies to share with you all.

Keli Gwyn said...

Helen, bless your sweet heart. You saved the day by beating me here and serving coffee. I was afraid I'd not be able to show my face in Seekerville for the rest of the year after my admission, but you spared me the shame and humiliation. Thanks!

Ooh! Ausjenny added Christmas cookies. Awesome!!!

I'm really off to read. Then I gotta get some shuteye so I'm ready to celebrate my 23rd wedding anniversary tomorrow. (It's still the 18th here in California.) Night!

Tina Russo Radcliffe said...

Happy Anniversary, Keli. I alternate between tea and coffee so you aren't alone. There's room for both in the world.

Helen, good morning!!!

What time is it in Australia, Jenny?

Ausjenny said...

Its 4.15pm Sunday here.

Helen Gray said...

Uh, Keli, I've never drank a cup of coffee in my life. Drik a lot of tea, though. And I admitted a long time ago that I don't like to cook. Ruthy assured me that I don't ever have to worry about food.

Meghan Schuessler said...

Woooo hoooooo! Thanks so much for the critique. That will definitely help me start my new year on the right foot! ;-)

Merry Christmas everyone!

Ausjenny said...

Helen I tried coffee once i think one sip was all I took and didn't like it I dont drink tea or coffee. I can cook cookies.

Helen Gray said...

I learned to make coffe JUST FOR SEEKERVILLE!!!

Ausjenny said...

Helen I can make it just dont drink it mum drank about 7+ cups a day.
3 before breakfast

Tina Russo Radcliffe said...

LOL, Helen you are too funny.

You make it perfectly too. Just the way I like it. One teaspoon of freshly ground coffee for every cup of filtered water.

And oh my I just got the recipe for Cherry Bars from my friend Tara tonight. They are yummy.

I have a fresh batch ready for you all.

Debra E. Marvin said...

Yes, I'd like to be in the running for Tina and Audra's new books, thanks for asking!

Yay. Congratulations. I know I'll have your address pronto so expect the cookbook by Christmas.

Merry Christmas week, everyone. It's here!
I'm getting excited just thinking about all that 2011 will bring.
Will Madame Zelda be here around the new year?

Ruth Logan Herne said...

Keli, I'm not laughing AT you, honey.

I'm laughing with you. (even when you're not laughing...) !!!!!

I just called Dave to remind him to check for Woman's World. Can't wait to read it, Teeeeenster! Especially since I just fell in love with Will and Annie in The Rancher's Reunion.

'Sall I'm sayin'. GREAT.

Keli, happy anniversary! Oh, how sweet. Congratulations on making marriage work. This is not always an easy task in today's world, God bless you!

Cookies, Jenny, thank you!

And I have a fresh batch of sponge candy. No breakfast.

Who needs breakfast when you have cookies and sponge candy????

No one.

Helen, I was NICE to you????

Oh my stars, didn't I make you promise not to tell??? Now people are gonna be goin' off, all half-cocked, 'spectin' me to be nice all the time.

Puhhhhhlease..... ;)

Ruth Logan Herne said...

Helen, any time you need off of coffee duty, just plug in the Keurig and people can make their own.

But you outdid yourself this morning, my friend. Perfect.

Kav said...

LOL -- I don't drink coffee either. Maybe there are more Seekerville readers who DON'T drink coffee than do. :-)

I have Scottish Shortbread that I'll share -- though I think it's really called Caramel Shortbread -- but my friend who is a Scot shared her recipe with me so I've always called it Scottish Shortbread. It's a three layer bar that starts with shortbread, then a gooey layer of caramely heaven and then a layer of melted chocolate on top. I put it in a 'replentishing tray' so there'll be enough for everyone who wants to sample.

I am totally going CRAZY waiting for my delivery of Rocky Mountain Hero and Rancher's Reunion. By my calculations they should have been delivered early this week but that was when we had that horrendous snow and ice storm all across Ontario so I expected the delivery to be delayed a bit....but not this long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Waaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!

Renee (SteelerGirl83) said...

Wow it looks like for a bunch of folks Christmas came early, congrats winners!

Thank you for drawing my name too. :-)

XOXO~ Renee C.

Rose said...

Congratulations to all the winners.

I'll add egg nog and spiced apple cider to the drink bar, although you'll find either coffee or tea in my cup.

Looks like a fun week ahead.

Tina, great story in Woman's World. I read it earlier this week when I received my magazine in the mail.

I'm in for the drawing.

Good morning, Seekerville!

Thanks for the anniversary wishes, Tina and Ruthy. Gwynly is the best!

Phew! What a relief to know I can be my real coffee-avoiding self here and not be laughed AT. Thanks Helen, Ausjenny, and Kav for letting me know I'm not alone. And who needs to cook when we have such delicious fare as Jenny's cookies, Kav's three-layer Scottish Shortbread, and cherry bars from Tina? Yum!

I loved the story in Woman's World, Tina. Great job! It was just what I needed to guarantee sweet dreams. =)

Walt M said...

Keli, you don't like coffee? How can anyone not like coffee?

And, happy 23rd anniversary. Hope you have a great day!

Tina, I promise to pick up a copy of Woman's World. Can't wait to read the story.

Keli Gwyn said...

Good morning, Walt.

Congrats to the winners! Early Christmas!

My early Christmas? I survived the trip. That's about all I have to say about that.

But here's a bunch of choco chip cookies and some of that to die for chocolate cake from Sams for anyone who wants some - birthday/anniversary cake. Yep. That's it.

Melanie Dickerson said...

I want to win Audra's book, Rocky Mountain Hero!!! Me, me, me!!!
I already won Tina's book. :-) Yay me!

And I won Janet Dean's book this week! Wow, I'm on a roll. I've won twice in a row now, so I guess that means I can't be jealous of Vince winning Zuzu's cookbook.

Merry Christmas, y'all!!!

Pat Jeanne Davis said...

I just received a copy of Tina's book. Please include me in the drawing for a copy of Audra's debut.
Congratulations to last week's winners. Happy birthday, Walt. Happy anniversary, Keli. Now to finish decorating the tree. Blessed week ahead to all.

Hi All:

It’s a day for small coincidences.

It’s Walt’s birthday.
My brother’s name in Walt.
Happy Birthday Walt!
It’s Linda Goodnight’s birthday.
Happy Birthday Linda!
My wife’s name is Linda and she was mistaken for Linda Goodnight at an RWA meeting and told she had to speak to the group. (Seeing her expression was priceless).

Just before I got on the internet I was reading Linda Goodnight’s book “The Lawman's Christmas Wish” and the blog I left before coming here was Amy Andrews blog about tomorrow being her birthday.

I know, this is not exactly Twilight Zone material but I also found out I won the ZuZu Cookbook which my wife is delighted to get for a Christmas present! Thanks!

Oh, and Ruth: I was at the mall and I saw what looked like a wife in Santa’s bag. : )

Mary Connealy said...

Hi, I'm slow stopping in today.

Cleaning and decorating for Christmas.

Oops, I just remembered I've got one outside ornament.

A star.

I've got to go now.

Tina - as always, great info in the WE... Checked out the e-book promotion gone bad article already - learned quite a bit!

Congrats to all the winners this week. Seekerville ROCKS! :)

Pam Hillman said...

Happy birthday Walt!

I've got most of my shopping done, and most of it either wrapped or in bags!

I never have any of it done before Dec. 23rd. One year dh and I were shopping on Dec 23rd (or was it the 24th?) and we had not bought ONE thing.

This was early in our marriage before the kids came along...back when I thought Christmas decorating and shopping should be a family affair.

Learned my lesson.

Buy it and return it later if it doesn't work out!

CarolM said...

Did I mention I'd love Rancher's Reunion? Already loved Rocky Mountain hero :).
