And I had a Seeker book jump into my hand today. Cuz I didn't have a cart ;).

Plus, looks like there's a road trip to Tulsa in the making :D.

    Congrats to all the winners!

Question about the query letter thing... if we're not interested in querying LI, is it still beneficial to enter that drawing? Or are those drawings geared toward people who want to sub to those editors?

    carolmoncado at gmail dot com

  2. Brownies? Can we have some ice cream and hot fudge to go with that? Yum!

What a great party ya'll are throwin :) Congrats to the winners. Time to go work on that query letter.

  3. Carol brought cookies? SCORE! Her cookies are DEEEEE-VINE!

Wicked happy to have Mary coming to my corner of the world this next weekend...and don't you all believe ANYTHING you read in the papers...give us a chance to get our stories straight first. :D

  4. Carol, this is definitely something that is for those targeting LI.

    And on a Windex note...

First I clean my office then I tackled the next project. Tulsa.

  5. Erica don't you have an elevator story to share with us?

  6. Oh wow the new site is great! Congrats on that as well as the 4 years of blogging. I gotta say I loved the link to the new Kindle Fire, that's already on my Christmas list. ;-)

Looking forward to this week. :-)

  7. I keep hearing about this elevator story. Is someone going to tell us the dirty truth??

  8. Congrats Winners!

Wow, this weeks lineup looks awesome. Can't wait!

Carol, your cookies have made you one famous lady! I wasn't at conference, so I'm dying for a taste. Recipe available??? Or is it top secret? :)

  9. A wonderful party is definitely brewing in Seekerville. Cannot wait.

  10. It's Walt!!

    Congratulations to the Maggie's Winner.

But I want to know what you are doing with the Maggie charm? Tie tack perhaps??

  11. Wow, this is so exciting! And my final judge in the Golden Pen is Melissa Endlich, too. She's everywhere! Maybe I'll query another ms I have for LI, just to cover the bases. :)
Congrats, Walt! I'm sooo eager to read your novel when it's pubbed... because I know it will be. It's already on my to-read list.

  12. Congratulations to all the winners!

  13. Thanks so much for letting all the rest of us celebrate your birthday with you. I am so wowed by all your wonderful prizes! I'm happy just thinking about winning something this month. :)

  14. Barnstorming? Erica? I'm not going to have to sleep in the barn again am I? We have discussed this!!!!

btw, I just finished Erica's latest Heartsong Presents romance Light To My Path, it is spectacular.

Erica has all the cold blood a woman needs to keep the tension high, trust me. :)

I've given her a new nickname

    Erica the Hun

  15. WALT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    YOU DA MAN!!!!!

Unless Vince shows up, then you one of da men!!!!!!!

  16. Okay, the coffee pot's humming.

Now, believe it or not, I think I'll GO TO BED.

    Night, night.

  17. So yesterday I wished you a Happy Birthday and just soaked up the atmosphere. But today I went over to the new Seekerville website and - WOW!

It's crazy! Absolutely love it. I do have one question, though... how'd ya ever get Mary in a condo? Or is there a farm hiding behind the buildings? :D

    Good work Seekers.

  18. I love the new web page! Thank you for the brownies.

  19. This week looks amazing. I can't wait! Especially looking forward to Friday. Will Melissa be taking questions? I've got one for her :)

Also, I'm new here. What is the carbs and brownies thing?

  20. Great prizes all the way. Congrats to the winners! Love your links today, as always.

    Yankee Belle Cafe', eh?

  22. Congratulations Walt!!! AWESOME.

    Congrats to all the winners.

This is going to be such a FUN month in Seekerville...wait no an EXTRA FUN month.

    Have a great day everyone.

  23. Erica the Hun... I like it! :D

Mary, I promise I'll CLEAN the barn this time.

The elevator story...let's just say Ruthy will say anything to anybody anywhere. :D

  24. Oh, and after Ruthy says whatever outrageous thing she's thinking, she introduces herself as...

    Mary Connealy!

  25. Oh good. FOOD!! =] Yanno, the real kind: DESSERT. =] =]

Sounds like a great line-up for this week. Hooray!

And congrats to Walt--I didn't make it back over last night, too busy roasting hot dogs with the fam. Always fun. =]

I was SO excited about the query contest this coming Friday--until I saw I needed the last page of the completed ms. Bummer. That bumped me out. sigh. What a GREAT contest, though! Seekerville rocks! =]

  26. Erica that's too funny! With that new grand baby of hers Ruthy's too busy to notice you spilled the beans... and we'd never tell ;)

  27. Ruthy introduces herself as Mary Connealy????

That explains so really agitated emails I've been getting!!!!

I shouldn't have criticized your barn, neither. At least it's not January this time!

  28. Annie, yes, you can ask questions. But no questions such you prefer Cottonelle over Charmin.

What's with the carbs and brownies? Not a darn thing. We just like to eat. A lot. Continuously.

  29. Brownies so early. Are you trying to kill my cyber diet.

Too funny that Ruthy introduced herself as Mary.

I introduce myself as different Authors, but I guess I should start picking the more recognized names.

You might etch my name into the Toshiba. I've been getting vibes.

    Tina P

  30. Congrats to the winners. Looks like a great week/month. I'm so excited.

    Jodie Wolfe

    Love your site.
    Trinity Rose
    wandaelaine at gmail dot com

  35. I love brownies!! Hope you have a wonderful week. I will be checking back often.

  36. Ohhh. I thought Kindle 'fire' was a HOT page-turner that caused Kindles to spontaneously combust. I'll catch up... Cake I understand. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND WEB LAUNCH! --Sandra's writer club friend -- I love Seekerville!

  37. Brownies! Yum! Congrats on your new site! It looks fantastic!

  38. Oh, dear, I LOVE brownies. With chocolate chunks, and powdered sugar. Iced? Plain? In any form!

    Next week looks like fun!

    Congrats to all the winners!

  39. Hm... Ruthy introducing herself as Mary... Audra introduced herself to me as Julie...

    What's up with that?

    WALT! Congratulations! Good for you!

Annie - the best thing about cybercarbs is that they don't REALLY count :D. Of course, they tend to taste a bit like air...

Erica - I need to get my hands on that new one my friend. AND the NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLER BOOK MAY just jump in my cart this week. My Walmart still had a couple [still had a couple of Mary books too] but none of the other Walmarts I was at yesterday had either...

  40. Brownies? Yum! And I love the Yankee-Belle Cafe. I'm just going to have to make two apple pies, very soon.

    Congratulations Walt!!!

The Family Affair Contest looks like a great opportunity. Time to dust off that story idea that's been swirling around in the background...

Have a great Sunday afternoon, everybody!

  41. ROAD TRIP! Will Tulsa survive?

    Yay! To all the winners.

I was busy yesterday, so didn't get over to the website. It's on my to do list today, right after "get rid of headache."

  42. Welcome to Seekerville, Dhyana.

    Great to meet you.

  43. Awe, Andrea we must have posted at the same time. Missed your post.

    Hope the headache is better!!

  44. Congrats to ALL the winners! What an exciting month to be in Seekerville---am going to try to visit at least once each day. And those prizes you all are offering sound WONDERFUL! ~ Thanks for the amazing job you do on these WE posts, Tina--and hope you enjoy the fruit tray I brought this afternoon (to balance out all the yummy sweets that are being served). It features melons, grapes, pineapple chunks, strawberries, apple slices, mandarin oranges, and of course....GEORGIA peaches! (LOL) Hugs, Patti Jo :)

  45. Home from Georgia Romance Writers' Moonlight and Magnolias Conference. Great weekend. Lots of fantastic workshops. Loved seeing Walt win the Maggie for unpubbed inspy! The banquet room went wild, and Walt got a standing ovation!

    YAY, WALT!!!!!

  46. Missy and I told everyone about our Seekerville birthday month. If anyone stops in from the M&M, be sure to give us a shout out!!!

WOW!!!! Lots of prizes this month. Can't wait to see who wins.

BTW, my printer broke so I would love to be entered in the printer giveaway...oh, wait! I can't be entered. :)

    Good luck, everyone!

  47. You guys sure know how to party! I LOVE brownies. I'm looking forward to next week, especially Friday--can't wait to read more about Love Inspired!

  48. Mmmmm! Those brownies sound decadent! I'm going to have to try them. :) The best thing about cyber brownies, is that even gluten free people (like me) can eat them. :) I like this site's food. :O)

Thank you for all you offer on your site. Your new one looks wonderful too! Looking forward to the upcoming posts. Happy Sunday!

  49. Sunday is a bad day to have a headache. Lots of family. You don't want to miss out on the visiting, so you don't get the rest you need. Things have calmed down now, and I had a chance to visit Seekerville village. I stopped by the Yankee-Belle and drooled over Ruthy's Dutch Apple pie. MMMM, looks so good.

I had a lovely sail back to the island to say hello again.

Congrats Ruthy, on the new grandbaby. I'm glad everyone is okay. Kiss his neck for me, that's where the best sugars are after all.

    Tina and Mary~

Can't wait to meet you in Tulsa. I'm getting more excited by the day. I may spontaneously combust before the 22nd. I'll try to avoid that, though

  50. Stopping by to pick up a brownie. YUM!

Thanks, Seekers. You're such a generous group - with books as well as kindness. And food. Always food.

My daughter just came home with a late birthday present for me (as in a month and a half late). I'd been saying how much I was craving cinnamon sugar donuts but there was nowhere around here that seemed to sell them.

She bought me a donut pan and mix for cinnamon sugar donuts. Don't you have to adore a daughter who indulges your love for carbs.

So any day you want donuts for breakfast, just let me know! I'm planning on apple cider ones next.

  51. Every day, it sounds like more and more fun ahead for Seekerville fans and writers!!! Hooray. And love the new website.

  52. Hey, everyone! I'm finally back home. The hotel had terrible internet. It kept very low signal and kept cutting out. Of course, the hotel is set for gutting (and maybe demolition) starting tomorrow! It's going to be totally redone. So they weren't too worried about the amenities like DSL (and like a towel shortage!). :)

But despite the hotel, the M&M conference was amazing!

  53. Hi Everyone, Wow what a fun birthday bash and its only day two. woo hooo

I'm with you Debby, I want that printer too. But hey, its worth more than a printer to be a Seeker. woo hoo

WALT CONGRATS. I'm soooooooooooooo happy for you. I bet the whole South is holding their hands over their ears from all the shouting.

Happy birthday to us. Happy birthday to us.

TOM the new website is WONDERFUL. You're our true to life hero. woo hoooo Thanks for all you and the Teenster do.

Happy Happy birthday to us. Happy birthday to us.

Oh I'm so happy. Carol the cookies and brownies and cake are yummy. And yes Mary and Erica I will definitely side step past yours. Even if you did get the spiders out.

    Love you all.

  54. Love the enthusiasm shown in this blog by everyone.

Thanks for the tips, links, and the inspiration-- plentiful gifts even without all the extras thrown in.

Congrats to all the winners in everything.

    What an exciting time...

  55. The new website looks awesome! Good job moving off the island, ladies!

    yee haw

    I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!

  57. /whisper/

Mary, mine's in my purse waiting for pickup line at preschool tomorrow.

    /end whisper/

  58. I love cyber desserts! No calories. :) This is a really cool contest. I love the design of the new site. Is this where you enter? If not, oh well. I still love the new site's look. Eye catching.

  59. Michelle, the contest info is under the contest tab. Entries can be submitted starting Friday.

  61. What a day.

    Wonderful. Crazy. Wonderful.

And I'm laughing at these comments while I'm bribing 18 month old 'Lijah with constant replays of Billy Currington's new single "Love Done Gone"....

Ba da da, da da da! Ba da da! Dah Dah Dah!

Oh my stars, I will have no trouble singing this for an instant video for Pam like I did with the them from PHINEAS AND FERB with PEPPER BASHAM!!!!

Yes, Melissa will pop in and out. And yes, for THIS contest you need to have a completed manuscript. Because you never know when they may have a spot to fill (says Ruthy who held her new book in her hands seven months after THE CALL)...

So the Ruthy motto is Girl Scout friendly: BE PREPARED.

But you never know what Melissa might throw your way come Friday, so BE HERE.

Tell your friends. It seems Melissa has heard about a certain other LI editor trying to STEAL the October limelight.

I'm here to say: Melissa Endlich does not like to be outdone. Ever.

So... Be here Friday. Take the time to comment. It will be WORTH YOUR WHILE....

    And then some.

And it doesn't matter if you're a reader or writer. We will be in a New York state of mind...

Which means things happen in a New York minute.

    'Sall I'm sayin'.

  62. Just visited the new website - it's great! I can't wait to explore it some more.

    Happy birthday!

  63. Thanks everyone for all of your kind words. I was expecially happy that my wife got to be there with me. She enjoyed it, too.

I understand that somoene may or may not have posted a picture of my wife and I. I saw the one on FB. Is there another one?

  64. hahaha you are a crack up, Ruthy.

Walt, there's a picture? I want to see it.

  65. Loves 2 Read Romance - LauraOctober 2, 2011 at 10:00 PM

Congrats to all the winners! Looks like we have an exciting week ahead. I brought some tea to go with all the goodies. Have a great night everyone!

  66. Okay - I'm determined to get my name in as many times as possible for the Notebook, ladies.
It's the PERFECT gift for my son for Christmas ;-)
    Can't hurt to try, right?!?

Congrats to all the winners. And another big 'happy birthday' to Seekerville.

What great news about Melissa's offer. YIpee! I need to polish up a query or two.

  67. Such a FUN week!! And I'll be stuck in a hotel in limbo before we thank you Seekerville for entertainment!! :)

  68. Congratulations to all who have won. Brownies look delicious!

  69. Ruthy sez: Oh my stars, I will have no trouble singing this for an instant video for Pam like I did with the them from PHINEAS AND FERB with PEPPER BASHAM!!!!

Oh, I have the Phineas and Ferb video of you and Pepper! It will go public as soon as I figure out HOW to make it happen! lol

    Here in Seekerville.

I might have to enlist Tina's help.

  70. p.s. I keep forgetting to say CONGRATS to Walt!!! :) And also I think I read that someone had a new grandbaby?? Was it Ruthy? Whoever had the new Grandbaby...CONGRATULATIONS!!! I've heard that being a Gramma is the BEST!! :) Hugs, Patti Jo

  71. Pam - even if you can't get it loaded online...

    I WANT THAT VID!!!!!!

Gotta have something to hold over them ;).

  72. Carol, I wanna go shopping with you, because your cart is AWESOME! :)

  73. So, how can I not comment with all these fun contests going on? And how fair is it (or unfair) to post that delish pic of the brownies??? ;)

    Sign me up! :D

    annette at annetteirby dot com

  74. Don't worry, Carol, everyone WILL get the chance to see the debut performance of Ruthy & Pepper (aka Phineas and Ferb) soon!

And, also the video of Casey dancing on a CHAIR!

  75. I see some books from my TBR pile in this post! And so of course I add to my TBR pile by buying more books on Amazon tonight. I guess I didn't buy enough at conference! But hey, hubby wanted one book, and I can't leave without $25 of stuff for free shipping. And no, I won't get prime--then I won't have the excuse to HAVE TO put in more to get free shipping. :)

  76. Yay! I think my first visit to Seekerville was during their birthday bash last year ... it seems like a year has gone by so quickly! Happy birthday month!

P.S. --The Kindle Fire really has got me excited ... I knew they'd have to come out with a color Kindle eventually!

  77. "There's a hundred and four days of summer vacation,

'Til school comes along just to end it!

So the annual problem for our generation is finding a good way to SPEND IT!!!!"

Opening lines to Phineas and Ferb theme song.

    LOVE IT!!!!

  78. YAY!! There we go Ruthy.
I think we ought to sing it again ;-)

  79. Oh no! Pam...
You know, with youtube and instand online videos, I'm getting the sense that humans are a little more omni-present than I care to admit.

But seeing Case dancing on the tables is a MUST!!!

And Ruthy is SOOOOOO CUTE!!! It's worth me being embarrassed just to see her in action :-)

  80. I'm a little late ... and WAY more than a dollar short, but GREAT WE, Teenster, as always!!

    I want a Kindle Fire ... :|

  81. What an awesome array of gifts! Thank you for gifting your readers for Seekerville's birthday.

  82. Sounds like a great week ahead.

  83. Fun!
