Seekerville Is Closed Today

Please join us on this "Memorial Day" in remembering and honoring the men and women who died serving in our armed forces.
And please pray also for those who are currently serving to protect our freedom and the freedom of millions around the world.

  1. Good morning, friends! God bless youse.

    God bless America.

Teach us to pray, bring us back to God's side, his very presence among us. Help us to heal others with our smiles and helpful hands. And to our servicemen and women... to our veterans... to our Wounded Warriors, to those who've made the ultimate sacrifice and laid down their life so I could live free:

You humble me. I am honored by you. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Did you guys know that Tina and Cara are both former military?

Part of the reason I NEVER ARGUE WITH THEM?????

    I'm a smart cookie. :)

  2. Thank you to all the brave men and women who have served. And thank you to their families.

  3. Thank you Tina and Cara...
And to all who have served...
    And your families...

We especially remember the Gold Star families today... We will never forget your sacrifice.

"Not for fame or reward; not for place or for rank; not lured by ambition or goaded by necessity; but in simple obedience to duty, as they understood it. These men suffered all, sacrificed all, dared all, and died."

  4. "It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived." ~ George S. Patton

To everyone who has served our country in uniform and to the families who've stayed by the stuff and supported them...

    Thank You!

  5. Clari, that is lovely. Thanks for sharing that quote.

When I was in the Army George Patton's son, Geo. Jr. inspected our troop at Fort Devens, MA. And Geo Jr. lived by me in Littleton, CO.

  6. Tina,
What an awesome thing to have experienced! Wow!

  7. Tina, I love those memories. Solid stuff... Clari, I love that quote!!! I'd forgotten about it, but I think I'll use it in an upcoming book about a soldier, a wounded warrior who's not too happy with life. That's a perfect one to tuck into that book!

We had a lovely Memorial Day Paraded today... Not too big, small-town sweet. I loved it.

  8. God bless the men and women who have worked and sacrificed to make America what she is today.

And help me to hold up their ideals and beliefs and never to shame their memory.

  9. You gals have said it all.

I am so thankful for all who served. And I am praying for the families of those who died serving our country.
