On this national holiday, please pause with us to remember and thank God for the men and women who have long-preserved the freedoms of our country.

And please stop by again tomorrow!

Ditto MIssy. We have so many blessings and it is because our forefathers had the wisdom and insight to establish the constitution. Many gave their lives over the years, including members of my family, to preserve the freedom we enjoy.

Blessed and humbled.

We have a tribute to Memorial Day over at the Yankee Belle cafe this morning.

Here's the link:

Rats. I tried a live post and it didn't work.

You know what to do, right?

Jan Drexler said...

Sorry, that's "live link" not "live post."

It's time for breakfast.

Thanks for closing today, Seekers.

And thank you for honoring the men and women who sacrificed so much.

At church yesterday, we closed with America the Beautiful and the choir director skipped ahead to be sure to include the lines:

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!

Thank you to all who made that final sacrifice.

We are indeed a country that's been blessed beyond measure. Today we remember those who've sacrificed--and continue to sacrifice--on our behalf.

Thank you warriors and families. You are honored and never forgotten.

Freedom is most certainly not free.
