  9. Congrats to the winners!!!!! I love seeing people's happy faces, even virtually!

    COFFEE IS HERE!!!!!!!

I jumped to the Passive Voice link about Pronoun... and still wonder what's going on there, but then they monetized Facebook and no one died.

So I'm pretty sure with back up funds from significant sources, these guys are looking to make money eventually, back to Return on Investment...

But it looks like an interesting book service, all told.

Our first 8th birthday week is COMPLETE! And I wanna see what Jagears has about #nolimits coming up, because I think she's pretty amazing with what she manages to do and a tribe of small people at her feet!

Breakfast Danish from Wegman's Pastry and bakery!

Please put my name in for the Christmas Seeker Collections. I love the Seekerville Collections. In fact in one of my groups on Facebook someone asked for good Christmas books to read. I will be sharing the link for both of these books in that group.

I am very thankful that I live on the side of the mountain with all this rain, no danger of the house flooding. Not sure how it will be when we drive down near the river to head to church. For all of you in the rain areas of the East Coast. Please stay safe.

    Happy Birthday, Seekerville!

I brought some Cinnamon Roll Waffles!

  29. Can't Wait For Friday!

"Melissa Jagears brings us her post, '8 Reasons Why ‘No Limits’ is Bad for You.'"

Wow! I've been saying that for the last 60 Days! At last…a simpatica!

"No Limits" is like going on "The Miracle Eat All You Want, Anytime You Want Quick Weight Loss Diet" -- No willpower needed! All it requires is a miracle!

I hope Melissa is not using a cutesy tricky headline like:

    F I R E
    YOUR
    MUSE

    with enthusiasm!

I'm having an eye operation Friday so if I don't check in then, I want to leave a Brava! for Melissa.

  30. Great WE! Raising my hand, I luv Seekerville!

  31. Congrats to this week's winners! WOW!!! Birthday month in Seekerville is always so fun because the prize vault is just overflowing!

Not to mention we have such a great lineup of special guests in addition to fun posts from the Seekers!

How are out East Coast villagers? We've sure had the rain and wind in NC this weekend, but so far no major flooding in our immediate area. Hope everyone is staying safe and dry.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Cinnamon roll waffles? How did I miss this? Pass the platter. Hope everyone has a great reading and writing weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Vince, I will be praying for you before and on Friday!!!!!

But I'm going to disagree with you so you're going into surgery with AGITA!!!!

    I love #nolimits.

    I love no limits.

I love it so much because I think so much of our human psyche is filled with doubt and we set our own limits, sometimes without realizing it.

We don't like THIS, so we never do THAT.

People named Margaret are always hard-luck people.

I can't possibly help on Tuesday night's committee for the school because I have a dentist appointment after work.

I believe it's okay to say "no".... but I believe in No Limits because if we self-impose limits on what we can/should/could/would do, we're putting up walls.

    I see no walls.

When someone tells me I can't do something, I smile and wait until they get out of my way, and then I do it.

    I love no limits.

But right now I'd like Buffalo to look a little stronger against the Giants, and OY! What are the Yankees doing??????????

THEY'RE KILLING ME, VINCE! THEY DIDN'T READ MY "NO LIMITS" SIGN!!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Excited to win a book this week! Please enter me into the drawing or the holiday collections. I have already started reading Christmas.

I will be praying for Eileen's family.

    ReplyDelete
  35. The cinnamon roll waffles are super easy. You take the cinnamon roll dough that is in the refrigerated section and place 3 of them on the waffle iron and make as if waffles. They are delicious and super easy to make. I saw that on Pinterest and tried them this week.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Myra, thanks for asking about those of us on the East coast. Just a little west of you in the mountains of NC we have been getting dumped on with the rain. It was neat this morning when Pastor got up to make the announcements, he announced that we had sunshine. I called my parents who live in another town here in the mountains when I heard on the local news that the streets they normally take to church were closed due to floods so I called them to make sure they Knew. This has been quite the weekend for rain.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Happy Birthday, Seekerville. Love this place. Whenever I have a writing related question this is the first place I come. You've got everything covered. Congrats to the winners.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Nope, no trick Vince, mi simpatico. We have limits, and we should embrace them for good reasons. :) And Ruthy can yell at me all she wants, I can take it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Congrats to all the winners! I'm really looking forward to all the posts you have planned for this week. Stellar!!

And Happy Birthday again, Seekerville!! Isn't October the best month of the year? My birthday is tomorrow BTW. At my age, Cinnamon Roll Waffles sound like the absolute best way to celebrate. :)

  47. Catching up for the week today!
Thank you, Tina the Great! Great articles- especially the ones on social media.
And Verisimilitude--- This is Ruthy's GENIUS! When I'm reading her books I am constantly thinking, "That is exactly what she would do" or "That is exactly what he would say." Now we have a word for it. Verisimilitude! Veritas, Latin for truth!

  48. Thank you for the WE and congratulations to all the first week birthday party winners! Tracey, the brownie winner, you are my new BFF! :) Looks like another....as always......great set of posts next week.

Happy birthday, Seekerville......and thank you Seekers, for all you do!

  49. Agita non è poi così male.

    Without disagreement, no conflict.
    Without conflict, no story.
Without story, no need for no limits.

There is a big difference between being able to do something someone said you couldn't do, and being able to do everything.

    God can do everything.
    The rest us, probably not.

    As for the Yankees,
I attribute that to Original sin.

"Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.”
    Ruth

  62. What I love about writing and this wonderful site is the respect we all have for each other and the willingness to listen (or read) to what works for each of us. I look forward to Melissa's post all the while knowing I have Ruthy's 10 helpful hints for writing (no whining, etc.) from a Seekerville post printed out on my desk.

I downloaded Eileen's book, and I am praying for her family.

And if you haven't done so, send an e-mail to Writer's Digest. I, for one, love reading and letting the advice from so many willing to share their writing craft tips and knowledge sink in. Thank you so much to the Seekers and all who post.

Oh, and a huge thank you for posting the picture with me and Debby. For those of you who have never had the blessing of meeting her, she is an absolute joy.

  75. Jana, what a wonderful thing to say! Thank you, sweet thing!

And Melissa, I'm laughing! I'll still disagree but I'll laugh about it.

And maybe we're actually on the same page, like "Know Your Limits"...

Because that's a different concept to me. Knowing what I can do...and scheduling for it... is important.

But not setting limits on what I can achieve, see, do is how I see "no limits".

    Let the games begin!

  77. Thanks to Everyone for Mentioning Me in Your Prayers

I believe in the power of prayer and I appreciate your concern. The procedure is somewhat routine but I have many other issues that make it problematic. Thanks again and God bless.

  80. I've been real busy lately and just today read about the prizes being offered this month. I had to look up Ipad Mini to see what it does. It that pathetic?
