Myra, CONGRATULATIONS on your NERFA award! That’s huge!

Shout out to all the Maggie Finalists!! And a big hug to my sisters, Tanya Agler, and Laura Conner Kestner!!

Tina, I’m still giggling about Sharee like Marie. Just think of all those years of mispronunciations that I could’ve resolved with a rhyme.

I’m convinced it takes a Village to write a book. (no groaning--I know it’s cliché but it is the truth!) And the best part is celebrating with the village afterward. Thank you, thank you Seekerville for the wisdom you share every day. And let’s not forget the fabulous prizes. 😊

  19. Wonderful News About "Lifetime Investment" coming out as a Standalone!

I think "Lifetime Investment" makes a great story for authors as well as romance fans. I just posted a review on Amazon on how Myra makes exemplary use of a major historical event to create strong page-turning anticipation in readers with a knowledge of the history of that time.

I loved this approach and would love to see more significant history worked into historical romances. This is one historical novella that deserves a solo in the spotlight!

As a historical story, it will never become dated and at its low price, it's definitely a sound lifetime investment in good reading. :)

    I suggest giving it a look-see.

  21. "THE TEASE … Great Scene/Chapter Endings to Lead Your Readers On."

Oh, Boy, A tease is not something guys want anything to do with! Especially ones that 'lead you on'. Because, if you deliver, then it's not a tease, is it?

I have to question the use of the word 'tease' and suggest the word 'seduction' instead.

"THE SEDUCTION... Great Scene/Chapter Endings to Lead Your Readers On"

Isn't that better? And more 'edgy, too'?

    Just a non-distaff POV. :)

Today I am matching wits with a discerning squirrel is intent on breaking through my kitchen window in order to pilfer the cookies I've been baking all morning. I admit they smell divine (they are Tina's oatmeal cookie recipe from a New Year bash a few years ago.) Mr. Squirrel is very determined...and kinda cute...until he starts chewing at the the window screen. I've tried to get photos but he's camera shy. Have any of you published writers ever been bumped up to First Class because the ticket agent read your books? Or received a free drink at the drive-thru? It would be fun to hear the Seeker and Villager stories in that regard.

  50. Ugh, I think I'm coming down with something. I hope not since that would put a major damper on my plans for next week, but I went to bed with a sore throat and it's only gotten steadily worse since then. I hope I don't have strep.

Anyway I'm wishing a (belated) happy weekend to y'all, and congrats to all the winners. Nice job Sharee on your first sale! That's got to be super exciting and I'm glad for you.
