We wave farewell to summer

Seekerville is closed so we can celebrate our year's labor.
And spend a long weekend closing out summer...and welcoming fall.
For a quiet moment if you find one today, words of autumn from some of our finest writers.

  2. Thanks, Mary! Summer's a long way from over here but it's nice to read poetry about when it will be.

  3. Beautiful thoughts, Mary! Autumn is my favorite season--but SO VERY SHORT at a 7,000 foot elevation. Locust & maple trees are already beginning to change color here, chrysanthemums blooming, low this morning was 42. Some years we've had several inches of snow by the 2nd weekend of October--hoping NOT this year, though, since we were still getting snow into the middle of May! :)

  5. Thanks for sharing! Beautiful poetry! However, it was 92 degrees today, so I'm not quite feeling autumn yet. :)
