Seekerville Clueless Weekend Edition

As IF...

We are happy to announce that next week in Seekerville
we are totally Clueless.
We have no idea who is posting and no clue
what they are posting about.

To celebrate we are giving away two copies of Rachel Ballon's,
The Writer's Portable Therapist,
to two visitors who are clueless enough to visit us each day
(Monday through Friday) and say hi.

(Because if you visit us every single day you probably need therapy, right?)

Before we move on to the really good stuff, like industry news or what might be happening in Seekerville this month, let's stop for a few good Clueless quotes.

Now could all conversations please come to a halt? And could
the suicide attempts please be postponed till the next period?~ Mr. Wendell Hall

So, okay, I don't want to be a traitor to my generation and all, but I don't get how guys dress today. I mean, come on, it looks like they just fell out of bed and put on some baggy pants and take their greasy hair, ew, and cover it up with a backwards cap and, like, we're expected to swoon? I don't think so!~Cher

I would like to say this. Tardiness is not something you can do on your own. Many, many people contributed to my tardiness. I would like to thank my parents for never giving me a ride to school; the LA city bus driver who took a chance on an unknown kid and last but not least, the wonderful crew from McDonald's who spend hours making those egg McMuffins without which I'd never be tardy.~Travis

My street slang is an increasingly valid form of expression. Most of the feminine pronouns do have mocking, but not necessarily misogynistic undertones. ~Murray

I feel like such a heifer. I had two bowls of Special K, 3 pieces of turkey bacon, a handful of popcorn, 5 peanut butter M&M's and like 3 pieces of licorice. ~Cher

Good news From the New York Times, for those of you who were worried...

Almighty Empire With A Global Reach

In their new book, “God Is Back,” John Micklethwait, editor in chief of The Economist, and Adrian Wooldridge, that magazine’s Washington bureau chief, argue that religion is “returning to public life” around the world, that “the great forces of modernity — technology and democracy, choice and freedom — are all strengthening religion rather than undermining it,” that these days “religion is playing a much more important role in public and intellectual life.”
