  1. Congratulations, winners!!! What a fun, action-packed week we had and now we turn the corner from winter to spring... MARCH IS ALMOST HERE!!!!

    Oh, Hallelujah chorus being sung!

I'm writing and babysitting this weekend, and wishing you all productive days and peaceful nights and the blessings of Lent... such a beautiful time of reflection. Of thought. Of penance and forgiveness.

I absolutely love this time of year because it forces me to stop and think... and resolve.

Bless you all! Happy writing and reading!

  3. Having a good writing week and finally (!!!) able to implement the writing schedule I drew up at the end of December. Thanks to everyone who gave me tips and encouragement on the excerpt I posted yesterday on Ruthy's day. I am feeling really hopeful about this one.
I Am Off to be part of a writing and publishing forum spearheaded by my friend Clarice James at a local library. I'm not published yet so I'm not sure why she invited me, but I can sure offer insights on what NOT to do. Ha ha.
    See you Monday,
    Kathy Bailey

    1. Beth that's one of our favorites and a family tradition for holidays! My dad always made it, and now I've taken over making it. I could probably eat it every day and be happy. :)

And thank you for the biscuits and gravy, Beth! I've been craving them. :-)

While Ruthy's world is turning to spring, the Black Hills is still enjoying snowy, winter days. The weatherman says we might reach temperatures above freezing tomorrow!

Meanwhile, my weekends are for family and church... Have a great one!

    1. Jan, I hope you stay warm! Yesterday, it was almost 80 degrees here. My husband and I went out to eat dinner last night and chose a restaurant with a patio so we could enjoy the perfect weather. It was such a nice evening!

    2. It's a little too warm for this time of year, IMHO, although I'm enjoying the sunshine and the trees in bloom!

Rain arrives tomorrow. I'm sure the temp will drop soon.

I had trouble sleeping last night so got up and worked on a story. Didn't go to sleep until about 3:30 this morning. So I slept in a bit! Didn't get up until about 8:30. Coffee was looking really tasty AND necessary this morning. LOL

  9. Heads up. I just received an error message while trying to comment. So, if that happens to others today, just refresh your page and try again. Blogger is hiccuping... probably trying to jump into Spring a few days early! :)

    Congrats to this week's winners!

Debby, I love the new cover. Congrats on your latest release! :)

    1. Thanks for the heads up, Pam! Another note I had meant to put in the WE:

One of our bloggers hasn't been able to comment lately and then realized it was because when she downloaded an update to her operating system, it started blocking cookies. She thinks that's why she couldn't comment. She had to turn off her cookie blocking.

    2. Thanks, Pam! The cover model's expression is a bit different. The Art Dept told her to look fearful. Not sure if she hit the mark! :)

    1. Thanks, Wilani! GA is in full bloom too! Love the pretty trees. Do you have the Bradford pears in your area? They have big white blossoms and a particular smell that's heavy and not really pleasant...although that could just be me! Anyone else want to weigh in on the aroma of Bradford pear blossoms?

      Delete
    2. Yes we have Bradford pears. I love them.

    3. Debby, no it isn't just you. We have a Bradford pear tree in our front yard. I have always thought it smelled terrible. It is pretty to look at, though.

  15. Congrats to the winners! Hope the Book Bingo Winners enjoy the recipes!

I worked on a new synopsis over the last few days. The story was a challenge until I finally got out my white board and brainstormed with myself! :) I couldn't see everything, but I did get some of the plot ironed out. Then I started writing the actual synopsis and the rest, eventually, fell into place. Such a good feeling to have it done...and to be happy with the direction of the story. The proposal heads to my editor on Monday! #happytohaveitwritten
