Seekerville is closed so we can celebrate our year's labor.
And spend a long weekend closing out summer...and welcoming fall.
For a quiet moment if you find one today, words of autumn from some of our finest writers.
Beautiful thoughts, Mary! Autumn is my favorite season--but SO VERY SHORT at a 7,000 foot elevation. Locust & maple trees are already beginning to change color here, chrysanthemums blooming, low this morning was 42. Some years we've had several inches of snow by the 2nd weekend of October--hoping NOT this year, though, since we were still getting snow into the middle of May! :)

Oh my gosh... I know we're closed but we need a poetry day! Mary, thank you for this!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary! Summer's a long way from over here but it's nice to read poetry about when it will be.

ReplyDeleteLovely, Mary. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteHappy Labor Day to all!
Thanks for sharing! Beautiful poetry! However, it was 92 degrees today, so I'm not quite feeling autumn yet. :)
