  1. Oh my stars, we had a comment from a very interesting "Escort" service, where the escorts are purported to keep up their body, their habits and their selves so as to "stay in the psyches and recollections of the customer until the end of time"....

Saints be praised, I'm not sure Seekerville is exactly what they're looking for, darlings!!!!!

    4. Oh my I ignore so many friend requests especially from men. I always check to see who their friends are if I don't know the name. If they are friends with several of the authors I know, then I know it might be another author or a reader and most likely safe to accept as a friend. You just never know these days.

It's comin' round the bend and I hope your season of Advent has been joyous and prayer-filled and the kind of thing that makes one welcome the holy day with a gladdened heart... even if this holiday brings shadows and sadness and sorrow....

  5. I hope you're all having a wonderful (and not too busy) weekend before Christmas! I used Clicklist at Kroger for my groceries so will be driving to pick them up this morning. A nice treat to keep away from the hectic store inside!

    1. I did that once with Walmart, but I may make it a habit. I remember reading about grocery deliveries back in the 50's... how funny that we're heading back that way!

  7. Happy Weekend everyone. I'm excited I won a Christmas book from Winnie.

I plan to go Christmas shopping, grocery shopping, and all kinds of other things today. My two week sub job has ended and I don't work at the book store today. I also plan to make my fudge and start baking cookies. Going to be a busy day here!

Wishing a very merry and blessed Christmas to all.

Congrats to all the winners I am so excited to win one of Winnie's books.

Had some excitement today when a pit bull was between me and my front porch. At one point he was running towards in full attack mode. I began screaming and he put his tail between his legs and ran the other way. I have finally calmed down. I tried to call the police but of course no one is on duty for the weekend so I ended up leaving a hysterical message. I also called animal control and left another hysterical message. I am embarrassed now because I have such a fear of dogs.

    1. Wilani, don't be embarrassed! Any dog can be a danger at times, so you did the right thing... and if it's a nice little dog, he will not hold a grudge!

      I'm sorry he scared you.

And did you really mean it when you said no one is on duty at 911?????

Or do you have a local police force that lets sheriffs take over on weekends?

    1. Vince, I was thinking the same thing. Christmas Eve! Isn't it the 2nd best day of the season? Or in some ways the best... the anticipation of Christmas Day.

And it's especially a good day since I'm not rushing around trying to buy last minute stuff for everyone, the house is (relatively) spotless and I can just relax and think about Jesus's birth.

      Merry Christmas Eve!

  14. Happy Christmas Eve, everyone!

I just realized that I haven't shopped at a big box (ie. Walmart, etc.) this entire Christmas season. Online shoppers unite. I did buy some cute fuzzy sweaters at a local boutique... amazingly soft! But I haven't gone to the zoo. It's been quite relaxing, all things considered. :)

Wait, I take that back... I did go several weeks ago because I needed a tree and a few grocery items that I can't get at my local smaller store. But still, the rush, the press, the crowds. Not my cup of tea.

I hope everyone is enjoying your Christmas holiday and taking time for the season.
