Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, Reader & Writer Friends!

Here in Seekerville
we turned the last page on 2018
and are now opening a promising new year!

A year of hopes and dreams.
A year of possibilities.

A year of challenges . . .
growing . . . stretching . . . and
reaching for the stars.

Another year of encouraging, supporting,
and praying each other through
whatever comes our way.

Join us on the journey through 2019!

What are YOU most looking forward to?

  9. "One Word 2019?"

Are we doing 'One Word' this year or have we already done it and I missed it?

    Don't have word yet.
    You?

    1. Hi, Vince! I have a "one word" for 2019 -- keeping the same one I had last year. "Led." (The Lord himself will lead you and be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you, so do not lose courage or be afraid. (Deut 31:8))

Has anyone else selected a One Word for 2019?

  12. "Steve Martin Writing Tip
    From his Master Class"

I love this tip which is especially applicable for Pantsers:

When you are writing always ask, "What should come next". Not what do you have planned next or what do you want to happen next but, after really thinking about it, 'what should come next'.

I really like this idea. If you are writing and what should come next is something you don't want to happen, then maybe you have to change the lead up or foundation. In any event, if everything is what should come next, then the story will have integrity and authenticity.

    Think about it.

Have a Happy New Year all year long.

  14. Happy New Year! I'm looking forward to getting things accomplished this year. I made my goals list for 2019 last night, and it's HUGE! My one word for 2019 is Balance. Gotta work on balancing my hats. Stay warm everyone!

  15. Hello, Seekerville Friends! I am MOST looking forward to rejoining the writing community in 2019! I spent 2018 caring for my mom until she passed, getting my feet back under me, and then planning my daughter's November wedding...which, of course, led right into the holiday season. I have a new office now that we have an empty bedroom (woohoo! my own space!), and I feel refreshed and ready to go. I've missed everybody!
