  1. Wishing you all a blessed and poignant Memorial Day weekend. We are blessed to live in freedom because we were blessed by the courage of brave men and women who came before us. God bless our military.

    1. Amen, Ruthy. My dad and grandfather, a couple of brothers-in-law, a niece, an uncle and others in my family all served. It used to be almost everyone. Now there are few who have served. We're detached from the price we pay for freedom.

  2. Looks like a good week ahead. So important to connect with other Christian writers, especially now. Wherever you're at, have a good weekend.

    1. Hi kaybee, happy Memorial Day Weekend. It's another cool rainy weekend here. I suppose it'll go from cold to hot in one day.

  3. I'm giving thanks this weekend for all those in uniform who gave their lives so we could remain "the land of the brave and the home of the free!" God bless them and God bless the USA!

I'm also remembering the Gold Star families who mourn the loss of their loved ones. May the Lord provide peace and comfort.

  4. Happy Weekend, everyone. Hope it is a good weekend for all. My husband and I drove out of town today. My dad's cousin passed away this week and her funeral was today. We chose not to go to the service itself but drove to the cemetery. It was my first trip out of the county since March! We did get to see my dad and my brother--standing at a distance in our masks and not hugging. I will be glad when we can do that again. I was glad to at least make it to the cemetery. She had three daughters and our family spent quite a bit of time together growing up.
