Monday: We will have the amazing Beth Vogt with us today! Don't miss her post titled: "Be Positive and Proactive to Silence Author Doubt." She'll be doing a giveaway!
Tuesday: Jackie Layton is our guest in Seekerville today! So fun to welcome Jackie aboard as a published author and her lively post coaches us on how to shift from 3rd Person writing to 1st Person narrative as we get a sweet glimpse of her debut mystery "Bite the Dust"!
Wednesday: Ruthy storms the virus-held beaches today with her post "10 Ways to Conquer Fear with Faith and Focus" as she tries to help writers who feel like they've spent the last two months running in place get their forward momentum moving again! She's giving away a $20.20 Amazon gift card, not for you... (WHAT????) but for you to give to someone in need. Come on over on Wednesday and let's do this together. Nothing like being kind to others to help us stop thinking about ourselves!
Friday: Winnie will be by to tell us about a new (to her) writing term she learned recently.
Due to the pandemic, The Kentucky Christian Writers Conference is moving their conference to an online format this year. All the originally planned speakers will be taking part. Thanks for another great week. Congratulations to Winnie and Happy Mother's Day everyone!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the semi-finalists!!!! Oh my stars, The Genesis/Noble Theme was a big help to me when I was starting out.... it garnered me a lot of opportunities to meet with editors and agents and to get my name out there. (Of course that can have a GOOD side and a BAD side, darlings...) I am so happy for you!!!! I see my buddy Debb Hackett's name there, Courtney Ballinger (good to see that name again!) and.... Hope Welborn.... and now I'm going to stop so I don't embarrass myself by not remembering everyone I've ever met.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited about this coming week!!! That might be partially because I've actually been able to see real live people now that the farm work is beginning, (I am not an introvert writer, I actually like people...) and there is stuff to do outside when it is not snowing.... which is not today, because one side of the house is in sunshine, and one side has snow falling. I am not kidding, this is the fun of lake effect snow when Lake Ontario is to your north and the south is to your, well... south. :)
The leaves don't quite know what to make of it!!!
Hi Ruth:
DeleteThose fickle leaves created "Indian Summer" in the fall, perhaps now, they can also create "Indian Winter"...that's winter you can't keep. Imagine all those avid leafers heading to your farm! I hope you have a spinning kiosk out by your food stand for fans to leaf through. :)
Congrats to the Genesis semi-finalists!!! Woo-hoo! Good for you!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful day in Georgia. Blue skies with a crispness in the air. I'm heading onto my deck to write, using my AlphaSmart! Call me happy!!!
Happy Mother's Day to all! Enjoy the weekend.
Hi Debby:
DeleteI'm just amazed by how you can write novels on an AlphaSmart where you can only see two lines of copy above where you are. I'm on my second AlphaSmart and I still find it almost impossible to do that. But I do love that keyboard!
Congrats to the Genesis finalists!!! So many familiar names. Very exciting! And congrats to Mindy as well!
ReplyDeleteRuthy, I LOVE your idea for a giveaway. Can't wait to see the outcome!
Happy Mother's Day to our moms and mother-figures!
Wow!
ReplyDeleteI just downloaded my copy of "Woman of Sunlight". I just love a bargain. And yes, I'm going to read book 2 in the series first. As they say in New York..."You got a problem with that?" :)
