ReplyDeleteThe day is warm but beautiful in Georgia. Wishing everyone a joyous weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat's Their Line?
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to Monday's guest, Angela Ackerman, covering "A Character’s Occupation". As a marketing person I believe that setting and occupation offer two very powerful selling opportunities that are often overlooked by romance writers.
I've bought romances solely based on the occupation of the hero or heroine. These include: NASCAR driver, profession bicycle tour racer, bee keeper (actually three different romances) and K9 policeman (several of these).
The big problem with occupation is having one which allows the hero and heroine to have logical meetings often and at different times of the day. Thinking about occupations that allow such opportunities is something to think about over the weekend.
Enjoy and BTW, NASCAR trucks race tonight.
