Sunday Scripture & Prayer Requests

FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT

Titus Destroying Jerusalem, Wilhelm von Kaulbach,
1846, Munich. [PD-US]

Jesus said to his disciples:
“Be watchful! Be alert!
You do not know when the time will come.
It is like a man traveling abroad.
He leaves home and places his servants in charge,
each with his own work,
and orders the gatekeeper to be on the watch.
Watch, therefore;
you do not know when the Lord of the house is coming,
whether in the evening, or at midnight,
or at cockcrow, or in the morning.
May he not come suddenly and find you sleeping.
What I say to you, I say to all: ‘Watch!’”

Mark 13:33-37

The Seekerville bloggers are praying for YOU and for our entire blog community. If you have any special intentions that need additional prayer coverage, leave a request for prayer in the comment section below.

Please join us in praying for the United States--and the world--during the current rise in Coronavirus cases. Pray for the sick and suffering, for businesses and schools to remain open, for people to be able to work and for our economy to prosper.

We are so grateful for all of you—for your friendship and your support!

May the Lord bless you and your families and keep you safe.

  1. Thank you for this, Debbie. We begin our journey, much like Mary and Joseph did, toward the manger and salvation.
