Releasing this week, October 2, 2018 from bestselling Amazon author Ruth Logan Herne, book two of her Wishing Bridge series "At Home in Wishing Bridge"!

Thea Anastas never thought she’d wind up working in rural New York. But a call from a friend in need convinced the nurse practitioner to make the trip. Now her temporary position is making a difference—though Thea can’t afford to make a difference, to fill a gaping hole in the sweet, small town of Wishing Bridge. The current medical practice is being dissolved in three months, and bigger opportunities are luring her away…

Her partner, Dr. Ethan Brandenburg, has his own struggles: caring for his orphaned niece and nephew and holding firm to his decision to leave Wishing Bridge for a prestigious job in Chicago. Though Thea’s no-nonsense advice in the office has been good for business, her compassion in Ethan’s personal life has been good for his heart. But how can he offer a commitment to a woman when they’re both about to say goodbye?

Wishing Bridge may be surrounded by forests and farms, but Thea is starting to realize that friendships and family form its heart—and that what she wants in life and love may be right in front of her eyes

  2. An excellent WE and looking forward to next week. My husband is on vacation and we may be traveling, but there's always the laptop. Going to check out some of these links, interested in the immersion/historical one.
Working on two requested proposals from agents at ACFW, trying not to rush and do them correctly.
    Kaybee
The only Kaybee you and your family will ever need. Kind of like the Maytag washing machine.

    1. Have laptop, will travel.

Kaybee, that's what I say when hubby cooks up a sudden road trip now that we're both full-time self-employed. I figure if I have my laptop, my phone, my chargers, and a debit card, I can be ready to go in 5 minutes! lol

    2. Kaybee, didn't I see a photo of you and Tina at ACFW? Wish we had it for this Weekend Edition. Do you have a copy, by chance? We're all so proud of you!!!

  3. ONE comment on Nashville: I was surprised they didn't have more books for sale and more book tables. Probably just as well, my luggage was heavy enough as it was.

    1. I think the challenge is that authors (and publishers, I guess) don't have enough hands on deck to manage a booth/table in the Marketplace. Ideally, a group of authors having a table and sharing the and the time works well.

And...you're right. My luggage is maxed out on the way TOO conference. Adding more weight in books would put me lugging hundreds of pounds home. lol

    2. ACFW used to host a book signing, but that ended some years ago. And the Goody Table is usually low key, at best, especially compared to RWA. Different conferences, different ways of doing things.

  4. Happy weekend, y'all! It's a crisp autumn morning here I brought along some hot apple cider and biscuits with sausage gravy for a crowd!

I want to move into Ruthy's Wishing Bridge cover house, except for the tug of my heart in the opposite direction (and it's fictional) but I can dream!

My end of the month recap is up on FaithfullyBookish.com and I'd love to hear what all y'all have been reading!

  8. Happy Weekend, everyone. It is a 3-day weekend for me as I had yesterday off. I am catching up on a lot around the house and plan to do some writing today. Oh, and hoping the Huskers can pull out a win today.
