Gooooood Morning, Seekerville!
ReplyDeleteFirst, congrats to Anne Rightler! You will love Melanie's newest book, sweet thing! And I'm looking forward to a couple of writing sprints today, some family room painting (not artistry, but desperately needed, I'm on wall-patch detail) and some cute grandkid babysitting... and there might have to be some baking going on, today or tomorrow, right?
Sneaking writing time in now while everyone else is asnooze.... Enjoy your weekend!
Have fun with your painting project, Ruthy! Ours is done, and I'm SO GLAD! Painting is not my favorite activity, but I do love the results.
DeleteHi Ruth:
DeleteI've always wondered how you felt when you woke up to write, while others sleep, in the wee hours of the morning.
Do you feel like you wish you could stay in bed but duty calls and you force yourself up to do what is right? (Like when I ran a mile or two before going to work in the old days.)
Or do you have trouble falling to sleep at night because you can't wait to get up in a few hours and write?
In other words is duty a cutie or a tough row to hoe?
Also, may I suggest you put a link to the Wishing Bridge books on Amazon? Make it easy to make an impulse purchase.
So excited about the Valentine's Day stories all of you will submit! Woot! Can't wait to read.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the downward stretch on the first book in my new Amish suspense series. Prayers appreciated as I write the last couple of scenes. The ending is always fun...lots of hugs and kisses for the hero and heroine! :)
Praying for that HEA!
DeleteHappy Saturday, Seekerville! Like the groundhog, I'm peeking out of my deadline hole to say hi, but I'm headed right back in for three more days of butt-in-chair. Congrats to the winners! Hope everyone has a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteDeadline time means another book from Mindy! Yay!
DeleteYou can do it!
Good morning, Seekerville!
ReplyDeleteI just watched the link about the Bullet Journal - fun and informative! I've been BuJo-ing for a few years now, and I love it. If you've never found a planner that's just right for you, investigate the Bullet Journal. I would be lost without mine. :-)
Today is a writing day for me! With Hubby working part time, I plan my writing time around his schedule. When he's out of the house for the day, I'm sitting at my keyboard. (Of course, I write when he's home, too...but there are more interruptions. LOL!)
Have a great weekend!
Happy weekend everyone!! I'm excited to celebrate my birthday (late) with my kids this weekend!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to next week!
Happy late birthday, Missy!
DeleteCan't wait for "How to write an endorsement" on Monday! Short wait. I've never seen a post on this topic.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of Acknowledgements in fiction as it makes the book seem well researched which in turn makes the promise of learning from the time you spend reading and enjoying the story.
What I also really like is when I read an acknowledgement from a new author thanking an established author for the help and encouragement in writing her first book. This is even more enjoyable when you know the old author from reading her first and subsequent books. This comes as a pleasant surprise and makes me feel very good towards that established author.
This just happened to me when reading "Northern Deception," a very interesting setting in northern Canada featuring free range polar bears who can pop up out of nowhere from the little dips in the white tundra. Now that's suspense!
If I was an author of fiction I'd love to read an acknowledgement like this one in "Northern Deception":
"And to Tina Radcliffe, author, who saw something in me and nurtured my belief in myself two years ago—I can’t thank you enough!"
Wood, Laurie. Northern Deception (Heroes of the Tundra Book 1) . Anaiah Press. Kindle Edition.
When I read something like this I just know in my heart that these are authors who have the spirit to write Christian Inspirational Fiction.
Vince
Vince, you've overwhelmed me with your encouraging words. God bless!
DeleteHappy Weekend, everyone. Today is catch up day for me after a busy week. Yesterday we buried my dear aunt. It was a beautiful service. It was nice being with family as we celebrated her life.
