  1. One of the Seekers sent out an email saying that 2021 had been good to her, and it hit me like a ton of bricks that 2021 had been good to me as well, so I wrote this to send out as a reminder to be thankful instead of hunt for reasons to want to tell 2021 to "shut the door on the way out" as is our normal response when we feel a year has been unkind to us.

I don't want to give 2021 an undeserved bad wrap. Looking back. 2021 was good to my family. The majority of our ailments were the usual kind that is passed around when you have little ones running around. Even extended family that suffered through Covid experienced milder symptoms.

There are FOUR Octogenarians in the family, and none of them had to be admitted to the hospital (at least I can't remember any in this year). I take that back. One of my sisters-in-law did have to stay for a few days in 2021. My stepbrother had a bad wreck, but blessedly came out alive and is almost recovered.

The only thing about 2021 that was majorly different to past years was not getting to go to the ACFW conference and fellowship with my writer friends. BUT, even then, God went before us because the week ACFW was supposed to be in NOLA, there was a hurricane bearing down on the city.

So, God has truly, TRULY blessed us this year.

Here's wishing everyone a Happy and Blessed New Year!
